Bloomington Public School's Driver's Education program is now collaborating with A+ Driving School to provide students more classroom instruction options. These classes are for students not signed up to take it as a credit during their regular school day. A+ Driving School will also provide you with "one on one" Behind-the-Wheel lessons that are tailored to each student's abilities and needs.
The first step in Drivers Education training is classroom instruction. Students must complete 30 hours of classroom training. Students may register if they are 15 years of age or if their 15th birthday is within one month prior to the 1st day of class. Please register using the form below. The cost is $110, check payable to ISD #271. To pay by credit card please call 952-681-6111 or stop by in person at 2575 W. 88th Street, enter door #11, 2nd floor.
Once classroom training is complete students will receive a letter of completion. The student will then need to register for Behind-the-Wheel training. Completion of classroom training and registration for Behind-the-Wheel instruction are required before a student can receive their blue card, which is required at the time of taking the driver's permit test. Information about the 6 hours of Behind-the-Wheel training will be given at the end of the classroom session. It will also be availabe at our office at 2575 W. 88th Street.
Refunds will not be issued after starting the class. Transportation is not provided and high school credits are not earned for after school drivers education classes.
If you have questions or want to register, please call 952-681-6111.
